Cat Haven’s mission is to lead The Greater Baton Rouge Area in becoming a no-kill community for cats and kittens by providing care, shelter, and adoption services, as well as advocating routine spaying and neutering for population control.We take in cats and kittens that have been found or abandoned by community members and provide them with a safe, loving environment until they are adopted into new homes. We are a no-kill rescue and take in cats from surrounding shelters that euthanize due to space constraints in order to reduce euthanasia rates. While our facility houses as many as 75 cats and kittens at any given time, we provide services to even more animals through the assistance of our dedicated volunteer fosters.
