Brooklyn Animal Action is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to improving the lives of animals in New York City, where tens of thousands of homeless or abandoned animals live on the streets and the city shelters are overwhelmed. We rescue and find homes for adoptable animals (primarily cats), facilitate Trap-Neuter-Release programs and perform community outreach and education. Since our founding in 2010, Brooklyn Animal Action has rescued thousands of cats (as well as the occasional dog, duck or rabbit) and TNR’d hundreds more. We depend on the support of our community of animal lovers to make that happen - even more since Covid has increased the number of homeless animals on the city's streets.
