About us

Age UK Bristol (AUKB) has been at the forefront of supporting older people during the Covid-19 pandemic. In March, AUKB convened a meeting with local older people’s charities. The Support Hub for Older People (the Hub) started with seven partner organisations as a one-stop resource for people to easily get the support they need. There is one local phone number, the AUKB reception line, to access practical, social and emotional support including activities to support wellbeing and good health. Since then, the partnership has grown to over 30 organisations. The Hub provides a wide range of support including expert advice on benefits, telephone befriending, free professional counselling, home-based activities and support with shopping. Age UK Bristol is looking for financial support for our Information & Advice service of the Support Hub. We support over 2,000 people a year on benefits advice, social care and housing issues. Last year, we raised £2.48M of additional money for older people in Bristol.
