Food Forest Brum works with local communities to create permanent edible landscapes in public spaces. We plant fruit trees, nut trees, berry bushes, herbs, as well as orchards and forest gardens in parks, schools, community centres, and faith-based spaces. The aim is to get people involved establishing areas where food can be accessed for free for communities today and in the future.
Food Forest Brum is a project of Spring to Life, a Birmingham-based non-profit organisation, dedicated to improving the well-being of Birmingham residents. Food Forest Brum therefore works closely with other Spring to Life projects to embed itself in local communities and to maximise the well-being of people, through involving them in making a positive impact on their community and on the planet.
