We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit dog rescue based in Los Angeles, California. Our organization has been dedicated to saving dogs from various Los Angeles County shelters on the day they are to be euthanized for more than 30 years. Our founder, Kari Whitman has devoted her life to this cause bringing her leadership, passion, and love for all dogs into every space. She’s dedicated this foundation to her wonderful American bulldog, Ace, who she rescued from death in 1990 and has since strived to save even more lives. The Ace of Hearts Foundation strives to reduce pet overpopulation and lengthen all dogs’ lives through education and advocacy.
