Katskill Mountain Critters is a 501(c)(3) all-volunteer animal sanctuary located in Sullivan County, New York. We receive no government funding and rely entirely on the compassion and generosity of our supporters.

Our mission is to provide a safe, lifelong haven for stray, feral, abandoned, senior, and special-needs cats—including those who are FIV-positive or facing euthanasia. Many of the animals we welcome have endured neglect, illness, or trauma. At our sanctuary, they receive the medical care, nourishment, and love they need to heal and thrive.

We are deeply committed to Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) as a humane solution to feline overpopulation. By preventing future suffering and stabilizing community cat colonies, we help create a more compassionate world for animals.

While some of our cats are eventually adopted into loving homes, many remain with us for life. For them, Katskill Mountain Critters is not just a shelter—it’s home.
