Woking and Sam Beare Hospice
About us
Woking & Sam Beare Hospices deliver personal specialist palliative care to adult patients affected by life-limiting and terminal illness resident in six boroughs in Northwest Surrey. It is Woking & Sam Beare Hospices’ mission to deliver high quality specialist care and support to anyone with a life-limiting illness, at the time they need it and in the place of their choice.
We know that one size does not fit all, and our care is most effective when delivered in response to personal circumstance and needs, which is coordinated and in collaboration with a range of healthcare and social care providers. We strive to ensure our care is accessible to all patients at the time they need us and in their preferred place of care.
Through our services we offer our patients holistic care, which means that as well as managing their medical needs we give practical, emotional, social, and spiritual support. Alongside the needs of the patient, we also provide families and carers with guidance and advice so that they remain well and best able to support their loved one who is affected by illness.
Our care is delivered in the community, in patient homes and nursing homes, and through our in-patient ward. We also provide care to day patients through our Bradbury Wellbeing Centre, which is located in our hospice. In addition to our support for patients with a life-limiting illness, we continue to provide pre- and post-bereavement support for children, young people and adults through counselling sessions.
