We Are The Essentials (WATE) is a 501(c)(3) organization composed of former law enforcement officers, military service members, and licensed private investigators. Our members offer Search and Recovery Investigative services to families of missing persons at no cost to them. We use our skills to provide families with answers when answers don’t readily appear. For years our members have self-funded this calling. The Mission 

We are the investigative bridge between law enforcement and the stunned families of missing persons when official resources cease or become overwhelmed. We protect families from unscrupulous predators who exploit their vulnerability. Our responsible and ethical investigations spare families during the initial panic. We organize known facts and all available information to coordinate and focus effective search and recovery efforts. When the results of a search ends in recovery and not rescue, WATE spares the family of finding a loved one under tragic circumstances. WATE accomplishes what to some seems impossible. WATE reunites the missing and returns them to their loving families. WATE solves unanswered questions. WATE restores solace and peace to grieving hearts. And…. WATE accomplishes this without inflicting a financial burden on the families we help.
