Urban Squirrels is a London-based licensed wildlife rescue unit specializing in grey squirrels: care, advice and advocacy. We look after orphaned or injured squirrels handed in to us by vets or members of the public. We also campaign to improve the public image of this much-maligned animal and oppose cruel and pointless culls. At the moment, wildlife rescuers are not allowed to release rehabilitated grey squirrels back into the wild. This is very unfair to both animals and humans who look after them. Urban Squirrels has applied for a judicial review of the legislation in question.
