Sunshine Big Dog Rescue’s mission is to help with the rehoming of displaced Large Breed dogs throughout the Southeast. SBDR is a registered non-profit with the state of Florida and a 501(c)3 charity. Donations are tax-deductible and always appreciated. SBDR is owned and operated by a Board of Directors and a dedicated group of volunteers. We are foster-home based, and our foster homes are located throughout the Tampa Bay area. SBDR is dedicated to saving and placing unwanted and neglected Large Breed dogs into permanent homes. We carefully evaluate both the dog and the potential family to ensure a proper placement for a forever outcome. ​ To be the voice for the voiceless, educate on the importance of spay, neuter, shots and preventatives, encourage people to be advocates for dogs, and report any potential neglect or abuse... that's the goal of SBDR.
