Etz Chaim is a vibrant network of Jewish programs in the greater Baltimore area, serving college students, young professionals, adults of all ages, and seniors. We believe that every Jew, exactly as they are, deserves an authentic, joyful encounter with their tradition, and we take responsibility for making that possible by surrounding each person with community, wisdom, and inspiration for a meaningful Jewish journey.

Our fun, informal programs, most of which are totally free, educate, bring people closer to Jewish tradition, and connect Jews of all backgrounds with one another. There’s no prerequisite knowledge or level of observance required. The door is simply open, and every Jew belongs here.

Everything we do starts with the person in front of us: their background, their questions, and their Jewish journey exactly as it is. Meeting people where they are isn’t just a program strategy for us; it’s an expression of genuine respect. And at the heart of it all is a simple conviction: authentic Jewish engagement is joyful, and Judaism is a living source of vitality, meaning, and delight.
