Starlight Mustang Sanctuary takes unhandled mustangs directly from the BLM / USFS as well as owner reassignments and then we do basic training for handling safety (haltering, leading, standing for vet / farrier). Some horses with special needs will stay at our sanctuary forever.  As we are a sanctuary, we do not resell or reassign horses, but we do periodically have some horses that we offer on lease if we find a person / family that is their perfect match.
