Our Rescue specializes in behavioral rehabilitation of relinquished birds and those in need of rescue from difficult situations. The individual care for each bird includes proper diet, socialization, and training. Behavioral issues, such as screaming, plucking, and biting are reduced or eliminated. Individual taming and training is completed with each bird to build a solid bird-human relationship. In order to provide the highest level of care, we only accept a limited number of parrots and likewise have a stringent screening process for placing parrots.  The birds that come into our care are rehabilitated after being thoroughly evaluated for their temperament, personality, health and behavior. They go through a training period that helps ensure that they will be a well behaved companion parrot. By doing this each parrot is treated as an individual and rehabilitated according to those specific needs.  Once the parrot is available for adoption it has been through the process and proven to be a well adjusted pet. By that time all of the habits, good and bad, have been noted. You will know exactly what to expect from the parrot when you adopt from us. There are little, if any, surprises.
