Spring Reins of Life, Inc. (SRoL) is a volunteer-run nonprofit organization based in Central New Jersey. Founded in 2012 SRoL provides Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) programming under the international Eagala Model for groups of Trauma Survivors. EAP is a team approach combining a licensed Mental Health Professional, a certified Equine Specialist, and Horses for therapeutic intervention toward promoting emotional regulation, personal growth and healing. Our Herd is specifically selected for their capacity to work with individuals who are troubled or suffering. We do not offer any riding or mounted work in our sessions nor is there any horse experience required to benefit. This is a solution focused experiential process which enhances the benefits of behavioral rehearsal that naturally occurs when working with the horses on treatment driven goals in an open non-judgmental setting. Since opening our arena gates SRoL has served more than 3,000 trauma survivors in New Jersey. We were closed down for 2 years and are rebuilding, there is a NEW executive board in place and we are on the comeback trail. Please consider joining our Herd where our mission is to positively change or save lives of those battling the internal demons of PTSd. We are eager to accept support via volunteerism, goods and supplies, or financial donations. Thank you!
