Giving a Voice to Animals in Need

From feline rescue and rehabilitation to in-field medical care and the rescue of wildlife and exotic animals, Southwest Missouri Animal Rescue is dedicated to helping animals of every shape and size.

We step in for animals who have no voice of their own—those who have been orphaned, abandoned, abused, injured, or born on the streets with nowhere else to turn. Whether it’s a tiny kitten struggling to survive, an injured wild animal needing immediate care, or an animal simply waiting for someone to give them a chance, we believe every life deserves compassion.

But rescue is only part of our mission.

We work to address the problems that bring animals into crisis in the first place. Through Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), affordable spay and neuter services, low-cost vaccinations, community transport assistance, pet food and supply support, and other outreach efforts, we help families and communities access resources that might otherwise be out of reach.

Our TNR efforts help humanely reduce community cat populations and prevent generations of kittens from being born into homelessness. Our community assistance programs help pets remain with the families who love them, reducing unnecessary surrender and abandonment.

Through rescue, rehabilitation, prevention, education, and community partnership, we are working toward lasting change for animals throughout Southwest Missouri.

We don't just rescue animals in need today—we work to prevent the next animal from needing rescue tomorrow.
