Safe Acres focuses on the location and rescue of equine in danger of abuse, neglect, starvation and the slaughter pipeline.  We are on the border, pulling horses from slaughterhouses and we are on the range saving orphans. We are taking in horses who have lost their owners to health issues, money issues and no longer being able to financially/physically support their equine.  We are taking horses from abusive situations, providing safety and a place to heal.  We are always out there, working tirelessly to support and rehabilitate equine who, through no fault of their own, are facing horrid fates without the help of Safe Acres Animal Sanctuary.  We are working to help end the horrors of the slaughter pipeline and we are supporting the community who sometimes just need a little help to keep their beloved equine fed and healthy!
