Rotary Inner Melbourne Emergency Relief Network (RIMERN) supports people who have been experiencing housing insecurity due to a range of hardships, providing them with donated furniture, appliances and homewares when they are setting up their new secure homes.

Our clients may have experienced homelessness, domestic violence, refugee displacement, release from jail or loss from fire or flood and are referred to RIMERN by Melbourne's leading welfare agencies when an affordable rental property has been found and they need to fit it out with all the basics.

When they visit our East Brunswick warehouse to select the goods for their homes, our clients are often overwhelmed to think that people in the community are donating, volunteering and supporting without expectation of payment or reward. At RIMERN we aim for more than secure and comfortable homes, we try for homes that the client will be proud of.
