Project Youth Cancer is dedicated to supporting Teen and Young Adult (TYA) cancer patients aged 13-24, addressing both their physical and mental health needs. For 27 years, we’ve worked closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to understand the unique challenges faced by these young people, especially the isolation and loneliness experienced during hospital stays. Our focus is on improving their hospital experience with digital resources like laptop libraries, helping them stay connected to school, work, and loved ones. During the pandemic, this service became a lifeline.      Each year, we provide Christmas gifts to nearly 600 TYA patients in 43 hospitals across the UK and Ireland, their Christmas even during intense cancer treatments. Recently, in response to patient feedback, we expanded our services to include mental health support through one-on-one counselling and therapy sessions in hospitals.       By focusing on both physical and emotional care, we empower TYA cancer patients to thrive during their treatment and beyond.
