About us
Hooves for Healing a small woman led registered charity provide Equine assisted Learning to children, youths and adults with learning disabilities, additional needs and mental health difficulties following these days of recovery from the Covid 19 pandemic. Our sessions focus on impacting individuals resilience, improving communication, social skills , self esteem in a non clinical, outdoor safe area. Sessions can include therapeutic lead rein riding, brushing of the ponies, agility with some of our ponies and also clicker training along side our experienced and qualified staff. Our private paddocks and tracks offer a wholesome welcoming alternative approach for learning in, benefitting many in particular those at risk of otherwise becoming isolated due to challenges they are facing in life. We offer individual support sessions which parents and carers testify to the difference it has made to them improving their overall and mental wellbeing. Schools visit weekly with small groups of up to 6 individuals, staff have found the sessions to be enriching and uplifting for their pupils making a positive impact on their everyday lives.
As a small charity we rely on donations to provide our service, the vulnerable community group we supply to face enough challenges in life we want to give back and make a difference.
