Our mission as a non-profit/no-kill animal rescue is to help dogs and cats in need through sheltering, education, community outreach, spay/neuter, and adoption.  

Priest River Animal Rescue is a nonprofit 501c3 organization. Since 2002, Priest River Animal Rescue has been serving the communities of Pend Oreille, Spokane, Stevens County, WA and Bonner County, ID, as well as some surrounding areas. Being the only local animal rescue in our rural area, we receive dogs and cats that come in as strays, abandoned, owner surrenders, from City Animal Control and local Police Departments. The goal of Priest River Animal Rescue is to eliminate homelessness for cats and dogs in our community, be those unwanted pets, stray animals, or unplanned pet litters and to find new qualified pet homes for them. Spay/Neuter is an integral part of our effort to decrease the number of unwanted pets in our area.
