Paws for Hope Animal Foundation is passionate about animals and their care and protection. We ensure pets can remain with the families who love them, regardless of the social inequities that may keep them apart.  We understand the bond people have with their pets is significant, and for many, pets are considered to be members of the family.  We believe that loved pets should be able to stay with their families, and during times of crisis our role is to support the family as a whole and to ensure they do not have to be surrendered.  We do this by providing temporary crisis foster care for those fleeing violence, seeking mental health and/or addiction treatment, being hospitalized or needing time to find pet friendly housing.  We also provide subsidized veterinary care for low income families.  This critical support not only alleviates unnecessary suffering, but enables veterinarians to support families who may otherwise not be able to provide the medical care their loved pets need.
