About us

Situated  in the wilds of Nenthead Cumbria  Morgans Rescue is run by Donna Cain with the help of a very small group of volunteers. Although  initially set up to rehome working dogs who found themselves out of work we now take in a variety of dogs from many different backgrounds who find themselves homeless because of age health problems or simply a change in circumstances. Our aim is not simply to rehome them but to rehome them to the right home.

Although our main concern is for the dogs its an inescapable fact that a canine companion can be a major boost to our mental and physical health. A furry friend always available for a cuddle and with a listening ear as well as making a walk a regular event and the socialisation that involves.Lots of people stop and chat to a dog walker when if the dog wasn't there they would have walked on by.Many of our adopter parents tell us the improvement to their life because of their new companion is enormous. It s not unusual for a new owner to say they may have rescued a dog but ultimately the dog has rescued them !

We are funded totally by donations  and are very grateful for any contributions that come our way .
