DDBR&R was set up in 2012 with the express purpose of providing a future for the dogs that other rescues do not take. I wanted to put to use my behaviour training and 35 years’ experience in rescue, to help the dogs that no one wants.

The ethos of this rescue is to take dogs of any age, any breed and with any behavioural needs and provide them with the best. To me, the best means the right diet, training and behavioural support and the right home when they are ready. If, as is the case with some dogs, they are best served living a happy fulfilled life with us then we also provide sanctuary for life at my home.

As a small independent rescue, we depend entirely on donations to help towards feeding, veterinary care, daily needs and crucially time spent with dogs to work with their issues.
