PAWS is a 501(C) 3 charitable organization whose vision is to build a no-kill shelter in Mason County, Michigan. We bought 12.5 acres within 4 miles of Ludington, which is zoned correctly for this venture. Our motto is: Making Mason County MI a NO-Kill Community, One DOG and CAT at a time. Our goal is to have energy-efficient buildings and keep the property in its natural state, which is heavily wooded. It will be a great sound barrier and also visually delightful. While we are raising money to open a shelter, our current mission is to rescue, foster, and place adoptable pets in Mason County Michigan. In addition, the organization provides education and support to the community by promoting animal welfare and quality care for pets in Mason County.
