. Social indicators for the Ipswich Aboriginal community coupled with limited Aboriginal controlled service provision clearly point to a deepening crisis within our families and homes. This is evidenced by the number of families who are in crisis and who are now subject to child safety interventions. Family breakdown is evidenced through the increasing numbers of aggravated violence orders, increasing numbers of adults/parents in prison, number of children entering youth justice system.Liworaji Aboriginal Corporation see there is a significant Gap in our Community with no Frontline Community Support. We have identified a need for our service in the Community shown with the support that is accessed and the high number of Community members accessing this service that is evident in our Visitor Data and the range of needs supported. As grassroots Aboriginal Community members and Traditional Custodians managing our service, Community feel comfortable and safe when attending the Centre.Liworaji Aboriginal Corporation has actively maintained a working connection to Community and organisations, Liworaji provides a unique service to the Ipswich community and have been creating opportunities through community empowerment for many years. The service continues to assist community and are seeking funding to ensure that the community continues to take strides to improve their own lives. As earlier stated, Liworaji has, through data collection, shown a gap in the services accessible to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community in Ipswich, Qld. If Liworaji were to receive funding we would be able to fill this gap in lack of Culturally Appropriate services in Ipswich for all community members.
