We are a non-profit Animal Rescue & Vegan Organization in the Hudson Valley of NYS, dedicated to changing hearts and minds on behalf of farmed animals by doing direct action rescue, rehabilitation & care at our small but bustling facility in Woodstock, NY. 

Our speciality is helping chickens, many of whom are disabled. Chickens are one of the most abused beings on the planet; the numbers harmed are unfathomable: estimated at 65 billion per year. The birds who have come to us over the years and are in residence now are incredible survivors, miraculously saved from situations of cruelty, neglect and abandonment from all over the state.

Simultaneously, understanding that there are more animals needing help than we can ever fit into our facility, our small organization works tirelessly at the local level to increase access to vegan, compassionate options via our Happy Cart Free Vegan Food program , and we produce vibrant awareness opportunities like Hudson Valley Vegfest and Kingston Animalia that have brought unprecedented vegan education, information, options and resources directly into the heart of our community. Our events and opportunities seek to address one form of institutionalized oppression (against non-humans) while being in alliance with all who work to end oppression and systems of harm. We are a small organization, but we work non-stop and believe change is possible!
