Founded in 2015 by Dr. Inderpal Randhawa, TPIRC was built on one simple but powerful idea: that no child or family should have to live in fear of food or face a rare disease without answers.

Dr. Randhawa and his team began by challenging traditional medical approaches, using genetics, environmental data, and precision medicine to create personalized treatments for each patient. The results were life-changing as children who once faced life-threatening food allergies were able to safely enjoy the foods they love for the first time.

What started as a mission to conquer food allergies has grown into a movement to transform care for rare and complex diseases. Today, TPIRC is a trusted home for families searching for hope when options seem limited.

Our researchers are developing new tools to predict and prevent lung decline in patients with Cystic Fibrosis, giving them a chance to breathe easier and live longer, healthier lives. We are also creating innovative therapies for Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia (BPD), a serious lung disease in premature babies, because every baby deserves the chance to grow up strong.
