The team at Father Woody’s Haven of Hope is looking forward, examining how we can continue to be resilient, how we can adapt to changes faster and more effectively. We have never been more excited about our mission! We are still providing “grab and go” meals, but are looking forward to having our guests back in our dining room. Our guests are so grateful for the services we provide, so THANK YOU! You are as responsible for our ability to serve as our team is. Times are more uncertain than ever, disease, violence, hate, etc. But God is faithful. When I get down and start to feel all is lost in this world I remember Matthew 22:37-39. You shall love the lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. I don’t have to figure out who is right, I just need to love. Martin Luther King expounded on this when he said, “Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.” God created a world full of color and it pleased him to do so. John 13:35 tells us “By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” Father Woody’s Haven of Hope chooses not to judge but to serve, thereby demonstrating, by action, God’s Love. You make that possible with your generous giving. God bless your generous heart!
