The Great Lakes Womens Shelter is a non-profit organisation supporting homeless women in the NSW region of Forster-Tuncurry. We provide a safe haven for women who – due to physical, emotional or sexual abuse, family breakdown, financial strife, domestic violence, mental health issues or lack of affordable housing – are homeless. We provide a strengths based case management approach to assist women to rebuild their lives by accessing permanent accommodation and community support systems. Our goal is to help these women reclaim their lives and once again live in the community.
