Freshfield Animal Rescue
About us
Freshfields was founded 45 years ago, when our founder Lesley Tarleton vowed that never again would a healthy dog be put to sleep simply because their owner did not want them anymore. We can only fulfil that promise because of you. From that day forwards, we have devoted ourselves to transforming the lives of abused, abandoned and neglected animals. We take urgent action to protect and save local wildlife, mostly hedgehogs and wild birds. We have 2 centres; one in Ince Blundell, Merseyside, and a second site in North Wales, which primarily cares for horses, ponies and cats.We Need You to help us keep our doors open, for the lost and frightened animals who have nowhere else to turn. We will care for over 1000 animals this year, making sure they are loved, fed, warm and safe, until we can find them the forever home they deserve. Our Vision: A world where all people protect animals and value nature. Our Mission: To make possible a great quality of life for vulnerable animals, today and tomorrow. We have a nationally recognised track record in successfully rehoming animals who have known nothing but cruelty and isolation. We care for the most traumatised, the abused, and those who have been turned away by other rescue centres. Veterinary and medical bills are our biggest cost by far. Excellent veterinary care is at the heart of everything we do and is crucial to securing a new home for the animals. Please vote for Freshfields to help us make sure that there is No Animal Left Behind.THANK YOU.
