Devon Freewheelers EVS a local (Emergency Voluntary Service), charity number 1180264, also known as Devon Blood Bikes, are a well-established blood bike group, providing free as we get no funding from the government only the kind donations from the public allows us to carry on give back to the community and provide a medical courier services to the NHS and its healthcare partners in Devon and the Southwest, carrying blood, blood products, donor breast milk, medical implements and air ambulance plasma.

We operate a fleet of liveried bikes, driven by IAM/RoSPA qualified advanced riders, who receive no payment for their services.

Our office in Honiton co-ordinates operations during the day, handed over to volunteer controllers working from home evenings and weekends, allowing us to offer the NHS a true 24/7/365 service. We cover the whole of Devon with locally responsive teams in North, South, East and West areas, and have worked with other blood bike groups to carry out ‘relay’ operations for long distance transport.
