The Samson Centre for MS in Guildford is a haven for people who are living with Multiple Sclerosis. The Centre provides invaluable physiotherapy, exercise and oxygen therapy for people who have MS. The social element at the Centre is so important for both members and carers as ideas are shared over a coffee and social isolation is prevented. The Centre is a self-funded charity and provides practical and emotional support for carers and those living with MS. It receives no funding from the NHS nor government so fundraising and donations are key in order to deliver its service. More than 200 people attend the Centre on a regular basis. There is no cure for MS but the Centre’s support and facilities help people manage the effects of this lifelong disease.
