Complex Chronic Illness Support Inc. is a charitable organisation that was set up in 1981 in the Bay of Plenty, NZ to support, connect, advocate, and educate people diagnosed with Complex Chronic Illnesses to improve the quality of their lives. Our Facilitators support those living with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS), Fibromyalgia (FM), Post Viral Syndrome, and Long COVID. We are one of the longest-serving support organisations in the world for people affected by ME/CFS. Our Purpose is to “Empower People Towards Wellness” and our mission is to improve the quality of life of people who live with a complex chronic illness, their caregivers, and family/whanau. But as a charity, we can only exist through the kindness of others. Please support us financially, so we can support those that need it most; by providing Facilitators, Health promotion workshops, support groups, counselors, and our award-winning Towards Wellness Programmes, we can support those living with chronic illnesses, so they can live to pursue a fulfilling and rewarding life and actively contribute to their community again, albeit differently to how they once did.
