Our vision for Australia is of a healthy Country, protected forever. Where native plants and animals, people and culture are valued and protected for the benefit of nature itself, and for current and future generations. A tenant of Bush Heritage Australia’s work is buying land of high conservation value to establish reserves.

We work with our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander partners, as well as the agricultural sector to restore millions of hectares of ecologically important land across Australia. Bush Heritage focuses our work on priority landscapes – these are selected on the basis of national biodiversity priorities, location of existing reserves and opportunities for strategic partnerships. We work to build resilient landscapes by restoring habitats – providing fresh water, healthy soil, and other programs like carbon storage to sustain life into the future.
