The Katy Bengal Brigade and Cheerleaders....Together Everyone Achieves More!!  I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little bit about the history of this fine group of young ladies and over the years a few good men. Mrs. Pat Williamson established the Brigade in 1977. Mrs. Williamson split her time with the Bengal Brigade and her History classroom. When I took over the Brigade and Cheerleaders in 1983 Mrs. Williamson continued to be an avid supporter and one of our GREATEST FANS! Little did she know she would eventually return as the KBBC Booster Club President while her daughter Amy served as Colonel of Brigade. The Cheerleaders seem to have been around forever, 1948 to my best guess, with coaches like Mrs. Youngblood and Mrs. LeGard and Mrs. Richardson. The two groups have combined their efforts to support Katy High School and the community of Katy over the last forty years! We have all shared many memories, we have traveled to more stadiums than I can remember, we’ve taken road trips and side trips, even up the street trips, we’ve traveled from coast to coast and everywhere we go we impress our fans with our poise, talent and true sportsmanship. We have experienced more football in the last 30 years than most see in fifty! Add to that the pictures and bus trips and you have something very special. We have grown together, experiencing some of God’s greatest treasurers. Welcome to the wonderful world of Brigade and Cheerleading, may this year exceed all of your expectations!
