Zion’s Mission Animal Rescue is a NYC based 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue, specializing in dogs. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, train, and find loving homes for as many abused, abandoned, neglected and unwanted animals as possible. We are further dedicated to providing hospice care to those most vulnerable, our beloved seniors, and those who are terminally ill. Additionally, we work within our community to promote responsible pet ownership.Our rescue began with the care of two pitbulls, a mother and daughter named Zion and Nya, who were being abused and neglected by their owner. Our president religiously took care of them for five years before getting them surrendered to her. Their rescue was nothing short of a blessing. Today, we still rescue with that level of dedication and fight, even when it seems impossible. We never give up. A grant like this would help us put Project Nya into motion, a community outreach project that would help low-income families with emergency veterinary bills. We understand the tremendous stress that comes with a sick pet, we do not want families to also worry about paying for medical care that could be the difference between life and death for their pet. Please vote for us so we can start this program and help our community, as New York veterinary care is extremely expensive and can be a barrier for  many families when it comes to proper pet care.
