About us

Originating in 1990, Community Concerns for the Medically is a parent driven organization dedicated to meeting the needs of the medically fragile in Sarnia-Lambton. A group of 5 founding members worked tirelessly to fundraise for and build a specialized group home where medically fragile children could live comfortably with round the clock medical care. Standing Oaks group home opened its doors in 2004 and today, operated by the Ontario March of Dimes, has 9 residents and a respite bed to provide relief to parents caring for their medically fragile loved one in their own home. CCMF also has an Outreach program for these families, providing emotional, educational and financial support. We also offer life enhancing programs such as an art program, social events and a music program. CCMF receives no government funding so relies solely on fundraising efforts and donations from the community to continue these essential programs.
