Worthy Australia

About us

Worthy Australia is a Perth NFP whose aim is to assist in rebuilding the lives of women and children who are experiencing, or under threat of experiencing homelessness due to domestic violence. We aim to work closely with frontline homeless shelters & women’s refuges to provide the necessary tangible items and support required for disadvantaged members of our community to start again, with rebuilt self-worth and dignity. Worthy Australia was founded because we all fiercely believe that in WA disadvantaged women and children deserve more. Women and children disadvantaged by domestic violence and other social injustices, like many of the most vulnerable groups within our communities, are often voiceless. Not just because as a community we have not developed appropriate support structures to assist people fleeing domestic violence or trying to overcome social injustice, but because they are often in situations where they are focused on fighting for their survival. We felt called to be their voice, and to gather other voices with our own to speak on their behalf when they cannot.
