WITHOUT A RIBBON INCORPORATED
About us
Established in the 2014 Financial Year, “Without a Ribbon” is a small rare cancer fund raising foundation established to assist those who are so small in numbers that they are not allocated an awareness ribbon. “Without a Ribbon” Board and Committees are established by engaging Volunteers that are will to give up, not only their time, but in many case financially support themselves to attend events to raise awareness or support Warriors diagnosed with Rare Cancers. From the feedback by those diagnosed with rare cancer, the main support required appears to be: - Support available when first diagnosed. Support links to online communities with your rare cancer, information regarding worldwide treatment options; - Face to Face support with others going through the same rare cancer journey within Australia. - To source information about treatment options and specialists available locally; - Household support when undergoing treatment; - Funding of flights when Trials become available overseas or to seek treatment not available within Australia. To provide support in these areas the “Without a Ribbon” will embark on an intensive four year strategic planning process to raise funds at each level and the increase funding targets to encompass the next stage of funding. Thank you for your time and consideration.
