The Salt Foundation
About us
Climate change is perhaps the most important and pressing issue collectively. Getting it right is essential for the children of this generation and for the poor and needy around the world! Our mission is to engage people to support and improve the wellbeing of others in need Our programs are designed to be "Good for People and good for the planet!" To achieve both these objectives, The Salt Foundation (Salt) is establishing a Community Education Park - 'SEED' along the banks of the Darebin Creek. It will run between the Darebin Creek and Northlands and Bunnings. It will showcase indigenous food and use this as a backdrop for teaching school children and community 10 sustainable principles that we can all participate in to make a real difference for the planet. As Salt's primary objective is to help people, the park will invite disengaged youth, unemployed, those on the edge of mental health issues and people with disability to participate in the ongoing maintenance and enjoy the many benefits of ecotherapy and mentoring that will be the programs cornerstone.
