TSP Theatre Inc. (trading as The Storey Players) is a charitable organisation whose principal mission is empowering children through drama workshops and storytelling activities to strengthen their self-confidence and boost their literacy skills. The activities we offer strengthen the children’s social and emotional wellbeing, as well as enhancing their connections to learning, culture and heritage.

Our concept for change involves the following:

• Engaging with the community to understand their culture, experience, and stories.

• Holding workshops to introduce the young people to drama and storytelling.

• Capturing the stories told by the community and mentoring the young people to transform these into film.

• Filming in the local community language with assistance and guidance from the appropriate people.

• Presenting these films back to the community at the end of the project to celebrate the young people’s work.

The disadvantaged children we work with do not have the opportunity to regularly participate in workshops like these, so your support of our work is essential to ensure they continue to have the chance to boost their self-confidence and literacy skills to better their chances for the future.
