The Foundation provides funding to the Mater Hospital North Sydney for new facilities, research, equipment, nurse education, fellowships and professorial teaching positions in medical and surgical oncology. A new Wellness Centre containing supportive services for cancer care funded by the Foundation has recently been completed. Currently we are fundraising for a new de ni velopment which will include a palliative care facility and new ambulatory surgery unit. We have a strong core of donors whom we meet with regularly to update about the work they are supporting at the Mater.
