Nearly 5,000 patients in MD are newly diagnosed with breast cancer. Many face seemingly impossible barriers to entering treatment. We mitigate those barriers helping them enter treatment in a timely fashion and positively impacting the outcome of their breast cancer diagnosis. Likewise, patients can become noncompliant with their treatment plan because of similar obstacles. Our interventions resolve the challenges and help them remain in treatment. We fund assistance to patients through three program areas: transportation to treatment, family support, and assistance with medical costs and treatment-related therapies. Support from The Red Devils is available free of charge to anyone with breast cancer living or being treated in Maryland.
