Paws For Life K9 Rescue saves and transforms lives. Through partnerships with Los Angeles Animal Services (LAAS), multiple rescues, shelters, and like-minded organizations, we help dogs (and cats) find safety and a place to call home. We take the lead in hosting adoption events, providing socialization and training, and arranging transport for animals to a network of agencies and shelters in the Western U.S., increasing their chances of finding a new home. Our rigorous, innovative, hands-on dog training programs within correctional facilities, provide essential job and life skills that create opportunities for formerly incarcerated individuals returning to our communities. The personalized care and training our dogs receive while working with inmates, prepares many of them to serve as service dogs for veterans coping with PTSD or first responders experiencing stress, anxiety and other mental health issues caused by job-related trauma. Our program outreach has allowed us help children on the autism spectrum and provide a service dog to a Saugus High School shooting victim. Where there is a need, whether it is saving a dog’s life or impacting a human life, Paws For Life is there. We are building a community, with dogs at the center of everything we do.
