We believe that with adequate support and information all wāhine/women are capable of making their own decisions about their bodies, and have that right. We strive for social justice, cultural safety and respect for diversity in the broadest sense. We are committed to providing a free service and helping wāhine/women and their whānau to access other free and lower cost services. Our approach is a holistic one and as part of this we respect and draw from Māori models of health such as Te Whare Tapa Whā and Whānau Ora. We adopt a strengths based self-help approach. This means encouraging wāhine/women to understand and take back responsibility for caring for, and healing their bodies and their whole selves.
