The Yellow Door - Rescue and Rehoming is an animal welfare organisation committed to saving the lives of vulnerable dogs in Victoria, Australia. 

The dogs entering our foster care network, come to us as pound or shelter transfers or as private surrenders via veterinary clinics and community members. These dogs find themselves homeless or facing euthanasia due to behavioural, medical, financial or housing concerns. 

The Yellow Door - Rescue and Rehoming rehabilitate our foster animals, providing medical care and addressing behavioural concerns during this foster period, before commencing the search for a new home. 

All animals that come through our foster program as desexed, microchipped and vaccinated prior to rehoming. We also offer a “last litter program” to ensure the parent dogs of unplanned litters are desexed and thus unable to perpetuate the cycle of unwanted pups.
