We believe that no one should go hungry in Aotearoa. 1/3 of all food produced globally is wasted, while 1 in 5 Kiwi kids experience hunger. Food rescue just makes sense. 

Kaibosh works with local food businesses who donate quality surplus food. We rescue and sort food for quality seven days a week, redistributing it people in need in our communities. This is benefiting people and our planet, as we get 65,000 kg of food is saved and distributed. This equates to over 200,000 meals worth of good, rescued kai every month! Kaibosh works with 140 partner community groups and charities who are supporting people in need in our communities.

In 2024, we have a new food rescue kitchen at Kaibosh Pito-one where we have started using up damaged and overripe produce, turning it into nutritious kai which is reducing food waste even further.
