The mission of the Shemer Art Center is two-fold: to support and showcase Arizona artists, and to provide a unique and inviting atmosphere for all visitors to learn about, experience and enjoy visual art. We foster this mission by providing classes, workshops, lectures, artist cafes, exhibitions and events, plus we have Arizona artist-created art for sale in our exhibitions, gift shop and sculpture garden. Our demand for adult and youth classes is strong and we had 145 children on our June Summer Camp waiting lists last year, over 60 this year so far!

We have a small team, under 10, and we work every day to continue Martha Shemer's legacy to serve as a gathering place for our community and build the Shemer to become a leading visual art destination in Phoenix and throughout Arizona.
