We at the Massena First UMC are living into our Mission of Serve the Greater Community, Connect with Jesus and Journey in Faith.  We provide programs for families in our community free of charge, Spring Fling/Easter Egg Hunt, Summer Carnival, Fall Festival and Pancakes with Santa.  We also offer a community meal every Thursday evening.  It is free to anyone who wishes to come and we serve a hot nutritious meal with about 100 in attendance every week.  New this year is the establishment of a Massena Neighborhood Hub.  This hub was established to respond to disasters in our area and in surrounding areas.  Under the guidance of UMCOR, United Methodist Committee on Relief, we store supplies needed in the event of a disaster, offering training in disaster preparedness and have several trained individuals who can respond in the event of a disaster.  All of these activities take money and volunteers.  We are asking for support from our community in these endeavors.
