SEE Turtles protects endangered sea turtle species around the world by supporting community-based conservation efforts. Our Billion Baby Turtles program has provided $700,000 in grants to 50+ nesting beaches, helping to save nearly 6 million hatchlings in 20 countries. Too Rare To Wear works to end the demand for turtleshell products that has reached more than 10 million people and helped reduce sales by 80% in Cartagena, Colombia. Our conservation trips provide volunteer and financial support for conservation efforts which have generated more than $1 million for conservation and local communities and 5,000 volunteer shifts. Our new Sea Turtles & Plastic campaign works to get plastic waste out of sea turtle habitats and create circular economies in coastal communities and to date has funded projects in Costa Rica, Colombia, and Curacao. We also promote equity in the sea turtle community through our Sea Turtle Inclusivity Fund. For these efforts, we have received the prestigious Changemakers Award from the World Travel & Tourism Council and the Skal Sustainable Travel Award.
